Wastes should be cleaned periodically using bathroom cleaners. After cleaning, always rinse with water and wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any residues of cleaning product. Then dry with a towel. All AKW wastes are easily accessible for cleaning.
AKW DOES NOT recommend the use of waste-clearing liquids, foams or gels under any circumstances, due to the damage these aggressive materials can cause to AKW products. If a pipe is cleaned properly by regularly removing accumulations of hair and other detritus, blockages will not occur. When a pipe is blocked, it should be opened and cleaned mechanically or with a low-pressure water jet such as a showerhead.
